Do you shoot videos with a Sony/Cannon/Panasonic/JVC Camcorder? How you do to your camcorder footage, share on YouTube, Facebook, Photobucket, or MySpace? Or you want to edit your footage before sharing? If the answer is the latter one, you would probably encounter the following problems as most people do when trying to import Sony/Cannon/Panasonic/JVC Camcorder video to Windows Movie Maker.
C:\\Documents and Settings\...could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events from…"
Or
"Could not be imported. Unspecified error."
Even after you have tried several months and finally manage to get your camcorder AVCHD MOD HD video into Movie Maker, it can’t handle it well. The video becomes stuttering. This is probably driving you crazy!
If you have trouble importing AVCHD HD video to Movie Maker, or MOD, M2TS, MTS video to Movie Maker, this guide may help you.
Today, most of the Sony/Cannon/Panasonic AVCHD Camcorder shot video in M2TS/MTS file, or some Sony/Cannon/Panasonic/JVC Camcorder record video as MOD file, mpg file, etc. Since Windows Movie Maker can only recognize some regular formats including avi, wmv, so if you want to upload video footage to Movie Maker, you would need to convert format to the one that movie maker can easily work with.
Someone may successfully made it simple by changing the extension (ie. from .mod to .mpg), but for most people, they just failed only to find there is no audio after the extension is changed, or you are not able to put footage to Movie Maker getting error that "invalid file".
Any alternative?
Yes. You may have noticed that nowadays there are a ton of video converters that are developed to convert video and audio format. This is exactly what we need. Among those converters, I would no doubt give a vote to iSkysoft video converter. This converter supports multiple formats and most importantly it outputs great video quality.
After you got a converter, everything becomes simple. With a large and rich codec collection, iSkysoft detect and analyze your camcorder footage, encode file from M2TS/MTS/MOD etc to AVI/WMV .etc for you directly. All you need to do is load your camcorder videos to converter, set the output format (.avi or .wmv) and output location and finally click "start".
Assume that you have converted the format, now you are ready to import AVCHD MOD HD video in to Movie Maker!
